Project Overview
With a roof heavily shaded in the morning by a large tree on a neighbouring property, this residential customer was concerned that a conventional solar power system simply wouldn’t work for them. They had correctly identifed that the ‘lowest common denominator’ problem associated with a shaded module reducing the output of all other non-shaded modules in the string would badly affect total system performance.
The Solar Guys offered an innovative solution using the SolarEdge inverter system that features module-by-module management. With SolarEdge adjacent modules are effectively ‘isolated’ from each other by PowerBoxes allowing every module to always perform at its highest possible level.
Not only does the SolarEdge system come with industry leading 12 year inverter warranty and 25 year PowerBox warranty, but it also provides module-level data logging and reporting. By being able to see how every module is performing this customer will be able to proactively correct any issues such excessive dirt build-up plus have peace of mind that they can actually take advantage of their long module warranties if necessary.
