Case Study: Noosa Aquatic Centre

Pool Pump & Heating Upgrades – Noosa, Qld

Project Overview

Commercial solar on Noosa roof
The Sunshine Coast Regional Council engaged The Solar Guys to perform an energy audit on their Noosa Aquatic Centre facility with the view to reducing its high power consumption.

A major focus of the audit was to provide the council not just with a summary of the problems but also a list of fully costed solutions for all areas of concern.

A range of recommendations were outlined in the final report including installation of advanced solar pool heating collectors to support and complement the existing heat pumps and retrofit of the latest variable speed drive technology to the existing circulation pumps.

Further energy efficiency recommendations to be acted on include high performance LED flood lighting and a commercial solar hot water system.
