About Us
We Started In Solar 27 Years Ago
Back in 1982, John Muldoon established the first Solahart brand solar hot water dealership on the Far North Coast of New South Wales selling old style flat plate collector systems.
At that time, solar hot water systems of any kind were completely unknown to most people, but that didn't stop John from selling thousands of systems to home owners from Tweed Heads in the North to Grafton in the South.
John also supplied solar photovoltaic solutions through his business "The Natural Energy Centre".

Extensive product problems with the Solahart brand flat plate collector systems prompted John to exit the market in 1986. But John's desire to bring the incredible benefits of hot water free from the sun to homeowners never waned.

Fast forward over twenty years and the first major step forward in solar hot water system technology since 1982 has now arrived in Australia - evacuated-tube technology. Cutting edge, evacuated-tube technology combines the advantages of higher efficiency (more consistent hot water) over a longer period every day with stylish looks and massively improved reliability over old style flat plate collector systems.
John formed The Solar Guys with his son Dane to bring new solar technologies to the market.
